What is included?

Extra-provincial LLP registration includes registering an LLP in a jurisdiction or province outside its home province where it is first registered.

For example, the following situations need extra provincial registration:

  • An Limited Limited  Partnership registered in a country other than Canada → Extra-provincial registration is required in the province in a Canadian Province.
  • A Provincial LLP (Example Alberta LLP wishing to operate in Ontario as well → Extra-provincial registration in Ontario required.
