What is included?
Extra-provincial LP registration includes registering an LP in a jurisdiction or province outside its home province where it is first registered.
For example, the following situations need extra provincial registration:
- An Limited Partnership registered in a country other than Canada → Extra-provincial registration is required in the province in a Canadian Province.
- A Provincial LP (Example Alberta LP wishing to operate in Ontario as well → Extra-provincial registration in Ontario required.
- Who can request Extra-Provincial registration
- Owners or Partners, agent of LP with Canadian address.
